  Long Term Campsites

Here are some of the Most Frequently Asked Questions from campers that are interested in leaving their RV on a site for a long period of time. At Merry Meadows, those with long term sites (leaving the RV on a site for at least one complete year) are referred to as "Chipmunks"

  1. What is the average site fee? The average site fee is $250.00 per month, plus electric. The discounted monthly site fee is with the understanding that the RV is to remain on the site for at least one complete year. The sites are metered and the electric is $24.00 per every 100 kilowatt hours used.
  2. Most campgrounds want the entire site fee paid at the beginning of each year. Is that the procedure with Merry Meadows? We understand that many people cannot afford to pay the entire amount of money at one time. At Merry Meadows everyone pays their site fee monthly, which enables you to incorporate the site fee into your budget. Before moving your RV to the site, a refundable security deposit(one month site fee is due. Also, you would need to place a $25.00 refundable deposit on each gate card( you are allowed to obtain two gate cards).
  3. Can I take my RV off of the site to go on vacation?   Certainly
  4. Can I use my RV in the winter? Yes. The campground is open all year. The water is not turned off during the cold weather. The upper restrooms remain open during the cold weather.
  5. With my RV on the site all year, would I be entitled to any facility discounts? After you have attended our annual Chipmunk Convention you would be entitled to receive two free adult dinners at the annual Chipmunk Dinner the day following the convention. At the convention, thousands of dollars in awards are given away. You would also receive a discount on miniature golf after you have attended a convention and been initiated as a Chipmunk.
  6. What could I do if the site that I want is not available? You could stay on a temporary site until a site that you prefer is available. You can move to a different site at any time.
  7. We are interested in placing our RV on a campground for a long period of time. We have never done this before so where do we start? You should make an appointment to meet with Lois. She will take you through the campground and show you the long term sites that are available at the time and answer any questions that you amy have.
  8. Suppose we place the RV on a long term site and after a few days decide that we really don't want a long term site? At Merry Meadows your first week on the site is FREE (you would be responsible for the electric) This way, you can check out the campground and your neighbor. If you are not happy, neither are we. Our goal is to make your stay a most enjoyable experience. We want all of our campers to be- HAPPY CAMPERS!
